Lori Jean DiStefano, age 33 from Garwood, NJ, passed suddenly on Sunday morning while at her parent’s home in Lavallette, NJ. “Lori D” is the loving daughter of Cheryl and Lenny DiStefano and sister to Thomas (Carrie) and Christine (John Mongey). She is the very special Aunt of Natalie and Samantha DiStefano and Brooklyn and Cassidy Mongey. She also held the Honored title of Godmother, AKA “LaLa” for Brooklyn.
In addition, she will be missed by her loving uncles, aunts and many cousins and close friends. Lori had a contagious smile and laugh that will never be forgotten. She was employed by the East Brunswick School District as a Special Education Teacher where she cherished her responsibilities.
Visitors are welcome on Thursday evening, 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Dooley’s Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. W. in Cranford, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Saint Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Garwood on Friday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by internment at Saint Gertrude’s Catholic Cemetery in Colonia.
