William A. Lindner 79, of Ocean Beach II died at home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Born in Jersey City, he spent his childhood in North Arlington and raised his family in Wayne, NJ. He was a summer resident of Ocean Beach II for 51 years, spending the last 12 years as a permanent resident. Bill graduated from Newark College of Engineering and worked as an Engineer for several companies including Harrison Alloys in Harrison, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Donnelly); two sons, William J. and his wife Regina of East Windsor and Erik R. and his wife Jill of Chadwick Island; two daughters, Karen Meyler and her husband Dan and Susan Lindner and her husband Esteban Gomez, both of Long Valley; a brother John “Jack” and his wife Elizabeth of Roseland and 9 grandchildren, Katelyn, Chris and Megan Meyler; Ryan, Sean and Kelly Lindner; Ellen Gomez and Brynn and Piper Lindner.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 3-6pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Ave., Lavallette, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, 10:30am at St. Pio RC Church in Lavallette. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dover Brick First Aid Squad.
